Over the phone or in person, we’ll have a quick conversation about you and your goals. Are you saving for college, looking to buy a second home or worried about retirement? During this chat, you’ll be able to determine if you feel comfortable with us. If you do, we’ll move on to the information-gathering phase.
Making sure we’re the “right fit.”
If you’re choosing someone to have a lifelong relationship with, it needs to be the right fit. What does the right fit mean at Investa? To us, it means you like meeting with us. You’re comfortable with us. You feel you can be open and honest and trust us to be your guide, advocate, coach and partner.
So, how do we determine if we’re the ‘right fit?’
1It starts with an initial meeting.
2Next, we gather information.
During this meeting, we will clearly define your wants and goals. We will also review your current situation and discuss things like whether you have a will, an estate plan, the right insurance coverage and more. We’ll likely ask you to bring documents and other relevant information to this gathering.
This is also an information-gathering meeting for you, too. In our experience, many clients come to us with a lot of unanswered questions. At Investa, we want to answer those questions. All of them. We want you to understand everything that we’re talking about — and will talk about in the years to come. We want you to be confident that you have a financial partner who is accessible, on your side and ready to walk you through whatever processes or challenges you may face along the way.
3We present recommendations.
At this stage, we have taken your information, analyzed it, applied our expertise and, in this session, we will present our ideas and suggestions. Such as ideas for improving your portfolio, boosting your retirement savings or reducing your tax liability. We’ll also present a detailed plan. Because when it comes to your money — today and down the road — details matter. We will talk numbers, dates, targets, fees and more.
We also explain that this plan isn’t set in stone. In fact, we believe that financial plans are always evolving and changing as life changes. The plans that we build are living and breathing entities, and we’ll take time to explain how we will nurture and adjust your plan over time.
4You think about it.
Hiring someone to manage your assets and plan your future isn’t a decision that should be made in haste or without deep consideration. With this in mind, we want you to take some time to really think about how you feel about us and the recommendations we’ve made.
If, after you’ve taken time to think about it, you decide to work with us, we’ll meet again to start putting your plan into action. Ready to take the first step and see if Investa is the ‘right fit’?
